Bronze Medallion Course
The Bronze Medallion course offers participants the chance to improve their own water survival techniques, whilst learning to safely and effectively carry out water rescues. It provides the knowledge and skills to exercise judgement in emergency situations, apply rescue techniques and develop the physical ability needed to perform aquatic rescues.
The Royal Life Saving Bronze Medallion Certificate is a nationally recognised qualification and the minimum standard to become a qualified lifesaver. It is also a requirement of many employment opportunities at aquatic centres and pools, such as jobs which conduct aquatic programs.
Whether it be the local pool, beach, river or home swimming pool, skills covered in the Bronze Medallion are essential in enabling participants to feel confident in their life guarding capabilities. This includes the ability to prevent accidents, rescue others, maintain rescuer safety and prevent a possible drowning.
